Sync:

1. Connect iPad 2 to your computer and sync by iTunes

Language:

4. Language
5. English

Passcode Lock:

3. Passcode Lock
4. Turn Passcode On
5. Enter your passcode: Set your 4-digit passcode.

International keyboards:

1. Settings
2. General
3. Keyboards
4. International keyboards
5. (Choose your language.)
1. Delete Japanese (Fifty key)
2. Set English and Japanese (Romaji)

Auto-capitalization:

1. Settings
2. General
3. Keyboard
4. Auto-capitalization: Off

Mail, Contacts, Calendars with Google account(sync):

1. Settings
2. Mail, Contacts, Calendars
3. Add account...
4. (required to join WiFi network)
5. Microsoft Exchange
6. Enter as follows:
1. Email: Google Account (gmail e-mail address)
2. Domain: (blank)
3. Username: Google Account (gmail e-mail address BEFORE @)
4. Password: gmail password.
7. Next
8. Server: m.google.com
9. Next
10. Exchange Account
1. Mail: ON
2. Contacts: ON
3. Calenders: ON
11. Save
12. Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calenders > (your account; (e.g.) Exchange) > Mail Days to Sync: No Limit > Exchange > Done
13. Test Google-iPad sync.

Mail with livedoor account(sync):

1. Settings
2. Mail, Contacts, Calendars
3. Add account...
4. (required to join WiFi network)
5. Gmail
6. Enter as follows:
1. Name: (your name)
2. Address: (livedoor e-mail address)
3. Password: livedoor account password.
7. Next
8. Exchange Account
1. Mail: ON
2. Contacts: OFF
3. Notes: OFF
9. Save
10. Test Google-iPad sync.

iPad: Initialization

Windows

1. Start up iTunes.
2. Select DEVICES "*'s iPad".
3. "Sync"
4. Wait until the sync is done.
5. "Restore"
6. "Restore and Update"
7. "Continue"
8. "Next"
9. "Agree"
